How you get paid

You set your price and keep all of it. The parent pays at booking, your earnings are released about a day after the sit ends, and they land in your bank a day or two after that.

You set your rate

You set your rate per visit, and that’s exactly what you take home, every time. mraav’s fee is built into the price cat parents see, so it never comes out of your pocket.

Paid straight to your bank

Parents pay at booking and mraav holds the funds during the sit. Once your earnings are released, Stripe deposits them automatically into the bank account you connect during setup. No invoices, no chasing.

In your bank in two to three days

Your earnings are released about 24 hours after the last visit day, and Stripe’s automatic transfer takes another day or two to land, not a week like most other apps. Need it sooner? Cash out instantly to an eligible debit card for a 1.5% fee.

Tips are 100% yours

When a parent leaves a tip after their visits, all of it goes to you. mraav takes no service fee on tips.

Stripe handles your 1099

You’re an independent provider, not an employee. If you cross the IRS thresholds in a year, Stripe issues your 1099 directly. Keep your tax details current. mraav can’t give tax advice.

Cancellations

What you keep if a booking falls through

You choose one of four cancellation policies. When a parent cancels, you keep the non-refunded portion for holding the dates. The bands below show the parent’s refund, so you keep the rest.

Ultra-flexible

Full refund any time before start.

Flexible

Full refund if cancelled 24h+ before start.
50% refund if cancelled less than 24h before start.

Moderate

Full refund if cancelled 72h+ before start.
50% refund if cancelled 24–72h before start.
No refund if cancelled less than 24h before start.

Strict

Full refund if cancelled 7 days+ before start.
50% refund if cancelled 48h–7 days before start.
No refund if cancelled less than 48h before start.

If you decline or cancel

If you decline a request or cancel a confirmed booking, the parent is refunded in full regardless of your policy. Your cancellation policy only applies when the parent is the one who cancels.
