Leaving your cat with someone new is a leap. Here’s what we promise to do, in plain language, every single booking. No fine print, no exceptions.
Before a profile goes live, every sitter clears a third-party background check that verifies their identity and runs their record, and we read their references. We also review their answers to cat-specific screening questions. If something feels off, we don’t list them.
After you send a booking request, you and your sitter meet for free before the sit begins, in person so your cat can sniff them out, or over video if that’s what they offer. You get to ask the long list of questions you have, and the meet & greet is where your sitter confirms the sit. If it’s not a match, your sitter declines and you’re refunded in full. No awkwardness.
After each visit your sitter sends a quick note on how your cat is doing (eating, energy, anything unusual), written in their own words with optional AI help to shape it. No more vague “all good!” texts.
The booking, the schedule, the visit log, and your conversation with your sitter all live inside mraav. One place to look back if you ever need to, no scrolling through five different apps to find what was agreed.
Email hello@mraav.com and you’ll hear back from a human in the San Francisco Bay Area within one business day. For anything urgent involving your cat’s safety, contact your sitter directly first, then loop us in.
Your address is only shared with a sitter once you confirm a booking. You set who has access, and you can cancel a booking at any time. Refunds follow the cancellation policy you saw before booking.
Good to know
mraav is a marketplace, so sitters set their own rates, schedules, and cancellation policies. You pay securely through mraav with Stripe when you book, and Stripe handles the payout to your sitter.
Every booking is also backed by the Mraav Pledge, our guarantee that helps with vet care or home damage if a sit goes wrong because of a sitter’s verified negligence.
