Sitters set their own rates, so the price varies by sitter and by visit length. Every price shown on mraav is the all-in total: our fee is already inside it rather than added at checkout, so the number on the sitter’s profile is the number your card is charged. Your first booking is 20% off, and mraav covers that discount rather than the sitter.
Sitters set their own service areas by zip code, so coverage is built sitter by sitter rather than drawn as one big map. Enter your zip on mraav and you will see exactly who covers it. Coverage is deepest in San Francisco and the inner East Bay right now and keeps widening as sitters join.
Cats are territory animals. A cattery means a carrier, a car ride, and a cage surrounded by unfamiliar animals and smells, which is why stress hiding and skipped meals are so common. An in-home sitter keeps your cat in their own space on their own routine, and the only thing that changes is who does the feeding.
One visit a day suits most healthy adult cats on a simple routine. Two is the common choice for kittens, seniors, cats on medication, or trips longer than a few days. Book overnights when your cat genuinely should not be alone at night. Your sitter will tell you honestly at the meet and greet if you have booked more or less than your cat needs.
Every mraav sitter clears a third-party background check before they can take a booking, and their profile shows their experience, reviews, and what they are comfortable with.
